Valley Of Flowers Trek Route

The Valley of Flowers Trek begins at Govindghat (6,000 feet), the gateway to this stunning Himalayan paradise. The trail follows the Pushpawati River, leading to Ghangaria (10,000 feet) through scenic forested paths and waterfalls. From Ghangaria, a 4 km ascent takes you into the Valley of Flowers (11,500 feet), where vibrant alpine flowers bloom against a backdrop of snow-capped peaks. Another route from Ghangaria leads to Hemkund Sahib (14,107 feet), a revered Sikh pilgrimage site nestled beside a glacial lake. After exploring these breathtaking locations, the trek descends back to Govindghat, marking the end of this thrilling adventure.

Best Time to Do Valley Of Flowers Trek

The best time to do the Valley of Flowers Trek is from July to September when the valley is fully blooming.

July – August: This is the peak flowering season, a time when the valley is a kaleidoscope of colors with rare Himalayan flowers, lush green meadows, and gushing waterfalls. The occasional rain and mist create a dreamy, otherworldly landscape.

It’s Advisable to avoid trekking from October to June, as the valley is snow-covered and inaccessible during these months.
