1. Understanding The Travel Foot Wallet When you cancel a trip, the cancellation is processed strictly as per our Cancellation & Refund Policy. Any applicable cancellation fees are deducted per the scheduled tier, and the remaining eligible amount is converted and issued as a “Travel Foot Wallet Voucher.”
This digital voucher acts as a credit note valid for 12 to 24 months (depending on the specific notice period provided prior to your cancellation). It can be redeemed toward any future trek, tour, or yatra organized directly by The Travel Foot.
2. How to Obtain Your Wallet Voucher If you decide to cancel your trip, you must send a formal cancellation request via email to connect@thetravelfoot.com.
Within three (3) business days, our operations team will reply with an official cancellation confirmation and your secure Wallet Voucher details. This issuance email will explicitly include:
- Your unique alphanumeric Voucher Code.
- The exact credited monetary value (after applicable cancellation deductions).
- The Date of Issuance and the exact Date of Expiry.
3. Terms & Conditions of Use
- Authorized Transferability: To prevent financial fraud, the voucher is strictly non-transferable on secondary markets. However, if you cannot use the voucher personally, you may officially “gift” it to a family member or friend. This requires a formal written authorization sent from your original registered email address to our support team, naming the new traveler.
- Redemption Scope: The voucher acts as a payment method and can be applied toward the invoice of any new trek, tour, or yatra operated by us.
- Group Size Consistency: The voucher can only be applied to a booking containing the same (or greater) number of persons for which it was initially issued.
- Advance Notice: To redeem the voucher for a new booking, you must email our team with your desired itinerary and Voucher Code at least 20 days before the new trip’s scheduled start date, subject to operational availability.
- Single-Use Application: Once a voucher has been redeemed and applied to a booking, that specific monetary value is locked. If the subsequent trip is also canceled, those specific funds cannot be reissued as a new voucher.
4. Voucher Extension Policy We understand that finding the time to travel within the original validity period can be challenging. We offer extensions on expiring vouchers subject to standard administrative deductions.
To request an extension, you must email us at least 15 days prior to the voucher’s original expiration date. Approved extensions are subject to the following structure:
- 3-Month Extension: Subject to a 15% deduction from the current voucher value.
- 6-Month Extension: Subject to a 30% deduction from the current voucher value.
- 12-Month Extension: Subject to a 45% deduction from the current voucher value.
Note: All extensions are subject to management approval based on operational feasibility. The Travel Foot reserves the right to modify these terms without prior notice.
